CHABANAIS

4 rue Chabanais, 75002 Paris
From Tuesday to Saturday. From 11h30 to 19h00.

After launching her line of high fashion jewelry under her eponymous brand -Tityaravy - in 2017, designer Titya Tin opens her first boutique just a stone's throw from the Jardin du Palais Royal, at 4 rue Chabanais, in Paris' 2nd arrondissement. Symbolizing the fusion of her multiple cultures, the place is inspired by Titya Tin's subtly vintage and colorful universe to perfect her singularity.

Imagined as a "contemporary palace" by multidisciplinary designer Benjamin Guedj, the interior reveals its organic forms made from mineral materials. They recall the infinite world of precious stones while echoing the poetry of Tityaravy's refined creations. The first Tityaravy boutique is an invitation to travel, through the multiculturality of the designer.

A contemporary palace

Large skylights on the ceiling emphasize the celestial and spiritual spirit of the place, as a nod to the history of the house and its divine aspirations. Two arches with majestic curves sequence the space while the whitewashed walls are dressed in a thousand and one shades of pink.

The furniture - deliberately minimalist - opts for walnut - a precious wood that symbolizes the tree of life, another concept dear to Tityaravy.
An architectural marble cube with "cappuccino" accents then takes the pose in the center of the space, like a work of art in its own right that gives the impression of having been there forever.

It also sounds like an allusion to the extraordinary richness of the palaces of Rajasthan or the temples of Angkor housing marvels of sophistication, and whose stylistic details have enriched Titya's aestheticism and creativity.

Nestled against the wall, two large benches are illuminated by multicolored woven lines while inviting you to take a break. The floor, left raw and marked by time, contrasts with subtle copper finishes to complete the warm atmosphere. The different lines of the collection can then express themselves, delicately placed on velvet busts and trays. We find all the iconic of the brand.

An address
of choice

Attached to the Saint-Anne district where she has lived for many years, the designer Titya Tin has chosen a location in the heart of "her" Paris, to set up her first boutique. A place to live just a few steps from the rue de Richelieu where she lives and the rue Feydeau, where she imagines, creates and assembles her jewelry.

But it is also a place with a rich history. For many years, the rue Chabanais was home to the suppliers of the Place Vendôme, with its multitude of jewelry workshops. It was also a Mecca for the pleasures of the 19th and 20th centuries, with a famous brothel where a luxurious international clientele made up of kings, artists and other writers gathered.

In the 60s and 70s, the store became the César, whose engraving is still present on the facade of 4 rue Chabanais. It housed one of the very first LGBT bars in the capital because before becoming the "Japanese" district, the street and its surroundings were the gay center of Paris before it moved to the Marais.

In the 80s and 90s, the address became a "Topless" bar.

Titya is happy to give it a new life to make it again and again in 2022, a place to enjoy.
